Straight edge ruler
Exacto knife and blades
Cutting mat
Glue brush
Bone folder
PVA glue

This is a funky fun unique book using card stock, text and string envelopes and employing post screw binding. We will explore embellishing such as collage, decorative stitching, image transfer, and stamping techniques. A great book to use for collecting or saving all types of objects, papers, or secrets.

3/24/10: Coptic Stitch Journal
This book consists of multiple sections (pages) and a hard cover. Using the versatile binding method, the coptic stitch, we will sew the covers and sections together creating a beautiful unique journal which displays the stitching on the spine of the book.

2/27/10: Box Cubed In this workshop, you will learn the basic skills necessary for other book/box projects like book covers, portfolios, photo albums, etc. Using book board, book cloth and decorative paper we will build a 5″ cubed box with a flip top lid. Please feel free to bring any decorative paper, images or stamps you would like to include in your project. Saturday, February 27, 2010 – 11am-3pm – $50/$40 students.
